Our story

We are Bart, Loes and Amber and emigrated in the spring of 2017 from the Netherlands to Les Galettes in France. A small hamlet in the charming village of Rezay, located in the Berry, the country of the French writer George Sand and composer-pianist Chopin (19th century).
We are the proud owners of a beautiful authentic farm with swimming pool, which we have converted into an charming bed and breakfast (B&B) / chambres d’hôtes.
Les Galettes is located in a beautiful hilly, green and non-touristy area in the center of France in the region Centre – Val de Loire and department Cher (18). It is about a 25-minute drive from the A71 motorway.

Despite that we had a nice home in the Netherlands and both do a good job at a bank, we were not satisfied. We hardly had time for each other and we had a lot of stress. When we got the chance to realize our dream, we take it and to this day we have not regretted it for a moment

France was always our holiday destination because of the beautiful nature, the friendly people, the wonderful climate, charming villages, the special places and of course the beautiful language. France gives us the feeling of ‘coming home’. And that’s exactly what we want to offer you, a home feeling and a pleasant atmosphere.
